The Xingu Indigenous park is one of the largest in the world with over 6 thousand Indians. The Kalua team has secured a agreement with the Ikpeng tribe in the Xingu Community. This tribe was almost on a brink of extinction in 1967 moved to the Xingu Indigenous park.
The Kalua team secured a stretch of water that has proven to have Trairao (giant wolfish), three species of Payara, good numbers of peacock bass, bicudas, corvinas, matinxas and big catfish Piarara (red tail), Piraiba (blue cats) and the Jau. The waters are fished every other week given time for the waters to rest to make sure pristine fishing awaits you. Accommodation in a Xingu long house with tents each with a full frame bed, one person per tent.
Fishing days are normally 5 full days fishing but special arrangements you can add a day or two more. You fly into Sinop from either Brazilia, Sao Paulo, Manaus. Limited to 6 to 8 persons per week only 2 weeks per month.
Services included: All airport transfers, accommodations before and after, 5 1/2 days fishing and accommodations on mothership, 25hp boats with 44lb trolling motor, cooler full of drinks, experienced local guide and all safety equipment, 3 daily meals with snacks and appetizers, bottled water, soft drinks, beer and local cocktails, maid services and laundry and use of fishing rod and reels
Services not included: international flights, medications, fishing licenses in Barcelos and Santa Isabel, satellite phones, visits to local villages must be made in advance, lures any breakage of fishing equipment.
Season: is May to October
Day 1- arrive in Sinop, transfer to Xingu river
Day 2 – road transfer to Camp, ½ day fishing
Day 3 to 6 – 5 full days fishing
Day 8 -1/2 day fishing, transfer to Sinop
